Before you start

  • A list of your training sessions (date, title, instructor)
  • Your survey question set (the ratings + a comment field)
  • An attendee roster per session (names + emails, or a Google Sheet / CSV)

The problem this kills

You run a great training session, pass paper evaluations around the room, collect a stack of half-filled sheets, and then... they sit in a drawer. Nobody has time to type them up, average the scores, or read every comment - so the feedback that could make the next session better just evaporates.

Even when feedback lives in a survey tool, you end up copy-pasting results into a spreadsheet, eyeballing the ratings, and skimming comments without ever spotting the real themes. Sessions that scored poorly slip by unnoticed until someone complains. And the honest, useful comments? Often the ones people are too nervous to write because they're not sure who'll see them.

This plan kills the manual tally. The session ends, the survey goes out automatically, responses come back, and the AI hands you a clean summary of scores and comment themes - ready to share once you've approved it.

What you'll build

A small, private web app for your L&D team that:

  • Holds your sessions, question set, and attendee rosters in one place.
  • Auto-sends a short reaction survey (relevance, instructor, materials, pacing, plus a free-text comment) to attendees via email after a session ends.
  • Collects responses while keeping them anonymous enough to be honest - but still tracks your response rate so you know how many people answered.
  • AI-summarizes each session: average scores, the themes hiding in the free-text comments, and a flag when a session scores poorly and needs follow-up.
  • Keeps raw comments private to the L&D lead, and shares only the approved summary with instructors and leadership.
  • Exports everything - responses and the summary - as a clean CSV.

The governance it includes (this is the point)

  • Login so only your team can open the tool.
  • Row-level security so each organization only ever sees its own sessions and responses.
  • A complete audit trail: who sent what, who reviewed, who approved, and when.
  • A hard human-in-the-loop approval gate: the AI drafts the summary, the L&D lead reviews and approves it, and only then is it shared - and only the lead can see raw comments.
  • Duplicate guards so one attendee can't be counted twice for the same session.
