The problem this kills
Engineering hands you a clean, tidy EBOM - parts organized the way the product was designed. But the shop floor doesn't build it that way. Before anyone can cut, weld, or assemble a thing, somebody has to translate that EBOM into a manufacturing BOM: inflate quantities for scrap and yield, add the glue, solder, tape, and shrink wrap that engineering never lists, fold in packaging, swap out "phantom" sub-assemblies that don't really get stocked, and regroup every part under the operation where it's actually consumed.

You see it side by side with the EBOM as a clear diff - every added line, every inflated quantity, every regrouped operation flagged. You approve, and the tool exports an MBOM CSV in the exact columns your ERP wants to import.
